My Story
I have known from a young age that I wanted to work alongside children and families. Throughout high school and college, I had the privilege of supporting a wide range of children with special needs and their families. Watching children find their voices, build connections with the people and world around them, and develop meaningful independence sparked a passion that has continued to guide my career.
This passion led me to earn my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Disorders with a minor in Child Development. While I have always loved working with children with exceptional abilities, I felt strongly that understanding the whole child was essential to providing thoughtful, individualized support. My studies in child development deepened my appreciation for the many factors that shape how children learn, communicate, connect, and grow, and reinforced my desire to approach my work in a holistic, compassionate, and science-informed way.
During my undergraduate studies, I had the opportunity to learn from several exceptional behavior analysts. Seeing the meaningful growth and new possibilities that opened up for the children and families we served inspired me to pursue a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. Bringing together my background in language development, child development, and behavior analysis has shaped the way I approach my work today.
At the heart of everything I do is a belief that meaningful communication, authentic connection, and a child’s ability to participate fully in family and community life are incredibly important. I believe children thrive when they are understood, supported for who they are, and surrounded by people who recognize and celebrate their strengths. It is a privilege to partner with families as they navigate their child’s development, celebrate progress, and create opportunities for their children to grow and flourish.
I live in West Hartford with my husband, our two teenage daughters, and our two pups. When I’m not doing the work I love, you’ll most often find me reading, crocheting, jogging, spending time outdoors, or simply enjoying time with my family. Being a mom has given me an even deeper appreciation for the joys, challenges, and individuality that come with raising children—and for the importance of having someone in your corner along the way.
